A weekly forecast for MCAS
A free daily forecast of the environmental patterns many people with mast cell activation syndrome keep an eye on: air quality, pollen, pressure swings, cloud cover and geomagnetic activity.
How it works
Each day gets a score from 0 to 100. A score of 100 means none of the triggers we watch are active. The more of them that show up, the lower the score can go.
What it watches
The day's highest US Air Quality Index, including wildfire smoke.
Tree, grass and weed pollen, scored by whichever is highest.
Barometric pressure changes compared with the same hour yesterday.
How much of the sky is covered, on average, during waking hours.
Solar storm activity (the Kp index) from the space weather forecast.
Staying indoors with the windows closed can help with air quality and pollen. Pressure swings, cloud cover, and solar activity happen whether you're inside or out, so on those days it can help to plan ahead.
